Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner with significant experience in Surgical Oncology First Assisting and Clinical practice. The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate within a multidisciplinary team in Surgical Oncology, ensuring comprehensive care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of patient management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough histories and physical examinations, recognizing both normal and abnormal findings across physical, cognitive, and psychosocial domains.
- Order and analyze laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Formulate both pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment strategies.
- Assess the effectiveness of care plans.
- Educate patients regarding their conditions and treatment options.
- Execute procedures as per training and credentialing.
- Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and complete all requisite paperwork.
- Collaborate and consult with physicians and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
- Engage in program development and participate in quality measurement and improvement initiatives.
- Deliver direct patient care for adults with acute and/or chronic conditions in both outpatient and inpatient environments.
- Provide follow-up and postoperative care in the outpatient setting.
- Coordinate preoperative and postoperative arrangements with primary care and anesthesia providers for patients from remote locations.
- Work alongside primary care, specialty care, and inpatient providers to ensure holistic patient care.

- Perform advanced treatments and procedures upon verification of competency, including but not limited to:
administration of chemotherapy orders, paracentesis, pleural taps, tumor biopsies, and more.
