The Rush University Cancer Center is actively looking for a Lead Advanced Practice Provider to join their dedicated Inpatient Hematology team. This position is located at Rush's central campus and features a rotating schedule of four days, each consisting of 10 hours. In your role as the Inpatient Hematology Lead Advanced Practice Provider, you will manage a team of four direct reports, ensuring that the inpatient Hematology unit is staffed seven days a week (day shifts only) in collaboration with a Hematology Hospitalist and a Hematologist.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of three years of experience in hematology or a related oncology specialty
- APRN candidates must possess acute-care certification
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at Rush University System for Health is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or an acute care certified advanced practice nurse (ACNP) who plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical and surgical care to patients. By fostering collaboration across various disciplines, the APP guarantees cost-effective and quality patient care. The ideal candidate will exemplify the mission, vision, and values of Rush, adhering to all institutional policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Rush University System for Health employs over 400 APPs who provide outstanding patient care either autonomously or in partnership with the healthcare team. Collaborating with the Director of Advanced Practice and 27 Lead APPs, Rush is committed to ensuring that every APP practices at their full scope and at the peak of their professional capabilities. APPs at Rush are highly skilled professionals who are essential to delivering the exceptional quality of care that Rush patients receive on a daily basis.
