Position Overview

Akerman LLP, a distinguished law firm recognized among the top 100 in the United States, is in search of a seasoned Senior Legal Support Specialist to join its dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring over 7 years of relevant experience within a legal environment, with a strong preference for those who have previously supported high-level executives.

This role encompasses a diverse range of administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Calendar Management: Overseeing a highly active schedule of appointments.
  • Travel Coordination: Organizing intricate travel arrangements, itineraries, and agendas.
  • Financial Administration: Reconciling and processing invoices and expense reports.
  • Billing Collaboration: Engaging proactively with the assigned billing specialist to ensure timely and accurate review of proformas, adhering to all billing guidelines prior to final submissions.
  • Client Engagement: Facilitating the Client/Matter Intake process, which includes drafting client engagement letters.

  • Familiarity with Document Management Systems (e.g., iManage).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Experience in litigation is considered an advantage.

We provide a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Job Type: Full-Time (35 hours per week)

Schedule: Monday through Friday

Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000 (Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.)

Bonus: Discretionary holiday bonus
