CORPORATE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

We are collaborating with a remarkable organization in the Twin Cities that has experienced significant expansion. This engaging Corporate Accounting position will involve working closely with accounting leadership to execute a variety of financial responsibilities. The role will focus on managing the monthly and quarterly accounting close processes while ensuring the precision of internal financial statements and reports. The position will report directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate will possess over 2 years of General Ledger Accounting experience and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the financial operations associated with the monthly accounting close process.
  • Facilitate the close process within the established timeline, taking ownership of assigned tasks related to month-end financial closing.
  • Conduct and review financial statements and account reconciliations accurately and promptly.
  • Assist colleagues in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Collaborate with senior management and staff on business and financial issues as necessary, providing guidance, training, and information.
  • Support the Accounting Manager in promoting accounting compliance across the organization.
  • Assist senior management with various special projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting.
  • Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
