As an

A&P Mechanic for Test Cell

you will be tasked with conducting routine upkeep and comprehensive inspections on turbofan and turboprop aircraft. This role encompasses troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft components.

Additionally, you will be responsible for engine removal and reinstallation, conducting operational checks, performing leak assessments, and executing engine runs.


Key Responsibilities:
Preparing engines for testing, executing tests, and de-prepping engines.
Training to become a certified test cell operator.

Responsibilities include conducting certification testing in accordance with the Overhaul manual. Troubleshooting testing failures, replacing defective components, and completing test documentation.

Collaborating as a proactive member of a specialized team to operate the test cell and the engine under test according to test instructions or technical orders.

Consulting manufacturer manuals to ascertain tests and maintenance procedures for instruments utilized in measuring and controlling flow, level, pressure, temperature, and other variables.

Demonstrating a willingness to learn new tasks and cross-train on various engine lines and complementary skills, while seeking endorsements for those skills as necessary to meet production demands.
Participating in the cross-training of fellow technicians as required to support production needs.
Adhering to all relevant safety protocols and promptly reporting any unsafe practices or conditions.

Working within quality, environmental, and health and safety management systems to deliver a high-quality product in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Conducting daily maintenance inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure operational readiness prior to use.
Engaging with specialized mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems to test gas turbine engines.
Troubleshooting, adjusting, or replacing components on engines and accessories during the testing process.

Collaborating with engineers, mechanics, and inspectors regarding test performance.
Supporting troubleshooting, preventative, and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of cell processes.
Transitioning between production assignments that utilize multiple skill endorsements as needed to meet production requirements.
Carrying out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High School diploma (or GED) and a valid FAA-approved Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.

Eligibility Criteria:


Self-motivated team members must maintain a positive attitude towards a dynamic work environment and are dedicated to achieving the success and objectives of their team.

Experience in the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul of Gas Turbine Engines is preferred.
Honeywell engine experience is a plus.
Strong planning, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision-making, and communication skills, both oral and written.
Familiarity with production software systems and related internal control systems.
Knowledgeable about gas turbine engines and their functional operations.
Possession of a Special Process stamp for Test Technician designation is advantageous.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday.
Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
Working knowledge of related company instructions and processes.
Product knowledge relevant to the business unit.
Experience in a mechanical environment.
Flexibility to work day or second shifts as required.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
