OVERVIEW: Patricio Enterprises is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer to deliver engineering and analytical expertise in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and lifecycle management, particularly for the Marine Corps Systems Command's Electronic Warfare Systems. The role encompasses the creation of systems engineering documentation to facilitate technical reviews and essential program milestones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide ongoing technical engineering assistance to develop documentation that aligns with the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) Process and Systems Engineering Technical Management Process according to DoD 5000-series Acquisition policies and DON systems engineering guidelines.
  • Ensure comprehensive support for the activity to conduct functions in accordance with the latest MARCORSYSCOM SETR Handbook and other authoritative acquisition documentation.
  • Assist Program Engineering leads in the preparation, execution, and closure of SETR events, including the development and review of necessary documentation for all phases of these events.
  • Collect and upload Technical Review Data Package (TRDP) artifacts to designated platforms, while tracking and maintaining critical actions and results from SETR activities.
  • Provide technical insights on systems engineering, development, and Test and Evaluation (T&E) efforts, including recommendations on systems engineering and test plans.
  • Manage the organization of safety documentation for the PM IS Portfolio of systems, coordinating with the MARCORSYSCOM Safety Officer as necessary.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Systems Engineering Working-level Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs) to define and maintain strategic plans and schedules.
  • Analyze user requirements and contribute to the development of system specification documents, ensuring alignment with Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
  • Support Engineering leads in updating RTM inputs following test report completions and provide post-test data analysis.
  • Draft documentation required for frequency allocations and track its progress through the approval process.
  • Offer technical support for the development and management of essential technical documentation such as Systems Requirements Document and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with the DoD 5000 Framework.
  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills.
  • Ability to manage large datasets effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (15 years in lieu of degree).
  • 3-10 years of experience in systems engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting a DoD acquisition program management office.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position requires sedentary work involving activities such as reaching, lifting, and repetitive motions. Employees must be able to see, hear, read, and write effectively. The role demands adaptability, analytical skills, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to handle stress. Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs may be required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% via ground and air transportation.
