POSITION SUMMARY: Patricio Enterprises is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer to deliver engineering and analytical support for the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and lifecycle management, specifically in the realm of Marine Corps Systems Command's Electronic Warfare Systems. The role involves the creation of systems engineering documentation to facilitate technical reviews and other critical program milestones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide ongoing technical engineering assistance to the Engineering team in developing documentation that aligns with the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) Process and Systems Engineering Technical Management Process, adhering to DOD 5000-series Acquisition policies and relevant DON systems engineering guidelines.
- Ensure comprehensive support for conducting functions in accordance with the latest MARCORSYSCOM SETR Handbook and applicable DOD and DON policies. This includes utilizing approved templates and authoritative acquisition guidance for drafting essential documentation.
- Assist Program Engineering leads in preparing, executing, and closing SETR events, which encompasses the development, review, and updating of necessary documentation throughout all phases of SETR events.
- Collect and upload Technical Review Data Package (TRDP) artifacts to designated Government websites, while tracking and maintaining critical actions and results from SETRs using specified tools.
- Provide insights on overall systems engineering, development, and Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, including reviewing and recommending improvements on systems engineering and test plans, procedures, and reports.
- Organize and file all required safety documentation in both physical and electronic formats, coordinating with the MARCORSYSCOM Safety Officer for compliance with Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) processes.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering Working-level Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs) to define, develop, and sustain strategies, plans, and schedules.
- Analyze user requirements and contribute to the development of system specification documents, ensuring alignment with applicable Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
- Support Engineering leads in updating RTM inputs following test report completions and provide analysis of requirements identified in associated products.
- Draft necessary documentation for frequency allocations and ensure all corrections are made for final Government approval, tracking progress through routing.
- Offer technical support in the development, review, analysis, and management of critical technical documentation, including Systems Requirements Document, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and various lower-level system requirements documents.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Familiarity with the DoD 5000 Framework.
- Strong analytical and evaluative skills.
- Ability to manage and interpret large datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (15 years in lieu of degree).
- BS Degree with 3-10 years of experience in systems engineering.
- BS Degree with 3-5 years of experience supporting a DoD acquisition program management office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position involves sedentary work, requiring activities such as reaching, lifting, and fine motor skills. Employees must possess the ability to see, hear, read, and write effectively. Essential skills include adaptability, analytical thinking, decision-making, and effective communication.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% via ground and air transportation.
