OVERVIEW: Patricio Enterprises is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer to deliver engineering and analytical expertise in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and lifecycle management for Marine Corps Systems Command's Electronic Warfare Systems. The role involves creating systems engineering documentation to facilitate technical reviews and other critical program milestones.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide ongoing technical engineering assistance to develop documentation supporting the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) Process and Systems Engineering Technical Management Process in accordance with DoD 5000-series Acquisition policies and other relevant guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with the MARCORSYSCOM SETR Handbook by drafting necessary documents, providing constructive feedback, and participating in meetings.
- Support Program Engineering leads in preparing, executing, and closing SETR events, including updating required documentation and maintaining the SETR projection calendar.
- Manage the collection and submission of Technical Review Data Package (TRDP) artifacts for SETR events and track critical actions using designated tools.
- Offer technical insights on systems engineering, development, and Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, ensuring alignment with Government requirements.
- Coordinate the filing of safety documentation and collaborate with the MARCORSYSCOM Safety Officer for the Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) Process.
- Assist Systems Engineering Working-level Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs) in defining and maintaining strategic plans and schedules.
- Analyze user requirements and contribute to the development of system specification documents, ensuring alignment with Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
- Support Engineering leads in updating RTM inputs following test report completions and provide analysis of requirements.
- Draft documentation for frequency allocations and manage the approval process for technical documentation such as Systems Requirements Document and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Familiarity with the DoD 5000 Framework.
- Strong analytical and evaluative skills.
- Proficient in managing large datasets.
- Competent in Microsoft Office suite.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (15 years in lieu of degree).
- 3-10 years of experience in systems engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience supporting a DoD acquisition program management office.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position involves sedentary work with physical activities including reaching, lifting, and fine motor skills. Employees must possess the ability to see, hear, read, and write, and demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% via ground and air transportation.
