OVERVIEW: Patricio Enterprises is seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer to deliver engineering and analytical expertise in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition and lifecycle management, particularly for the Marine Corps Systems Command's Electronic Warfare Systems. The role encompasses the creation of systems engineering documentation to facilitate technical reviews and other critical program milestones.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide ongoing technical engineering assistance to the Engineering team in developing documentation that adheres to the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) Process and Systems Engineering Technical Management Process as per DoD 5000-series Acquisition policies and relevant guidance.
  • Ensure all necessary support is delivered to conduct functions in accordance with the latest MARCORSYSCOM SETR Handbook and other authoritative acquisition documentation.
  • Assist Program Engineering leads in the preparation, execution, and closure of SETR events, including updating required documentation and maintaining the SETR projection calendar.
  • Gather and upload Technical Review Data Package (TRDP) artifacts to designated Government websites and manage critical actions and results from SETRs.
  • Provide technical insights regarding systems engineering, development, and Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, ensuring comprehensive reviews and recommendations on plans and reports.
  • Organize and file all necessary safety documentation for the PM IS Portfolio of systems, coordinating with the MARCORSYSCOM Safety Officer.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and maintain strategies, plans, and schedules for Systems Engineering Working-level Integrated Product Teams (WIPTs).
  • Analyze user requirements and contribute to the development of system specification documents, ensuring alignment with applicable Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
  • Support Engineering leads in updating RTM inputs following test report completions and provide analysis of requirements.
  • Draft documentation for frequency allocations and track its progress through the approval process.
  • Assist in the development, review, and management of technical documentation, including Systems Requirements Document and various specifications.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with the DoD 5000 Framework.
  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills.
  • Ability to manage and interpret large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (15 years in lieu of degree).
  • 3-10 years of experience in systems engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting a DoD acquisition program management office.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position involves sedentary work, requiring physical activities such as reaching, lifting, and repetitive motions. The ability to see, hear, read, and write is essential. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability, analytical skills, decision-making capabilities, and effective communication.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: 10% via ground and air transportation.
