Electronic Security Systems Specialist

A-Tech Systems, Inc. is seeking a dedicated full-time Electronic Security Systems Specialist to enhance our operations in the DC Metro area. In this role, you will be tasked with the installation and maintenance of comprehensive security solutions, including various components and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the implementation of system updates and upgrades.
- Conduct regular system backups and manage disaster recovery protocols.
- Work with systems including Access Control, CCTV, Video Management Software, Intercoms, and Alarms.
- Perform daily system checks to identify errors, inconsistencies, and alarms.
- Engage with customers to review tasks and complete necessary repairs.
- Provide detailed end-of-day system reports.
The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Integrated Electronic Security Systems.
- Proficiency in CCTV, Access Control, Intercoms, Intrusion Detection, and Network Infrastructure.
- Familiarity with systems such as FLIR, Vicon, RS2, Pelco, Genetech, Bosch, DMP, and DAQ is advantageous.
- Basic IT knowledge and strong computer skills are essential.
- Must be a US citizen with a clear background check and eligibility for a Secret Clearance.
- A valid US Driver's license is required.
- Physical capabilities to perform tasks such as climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with commercial, government, and industrial security systems.
- Knowledge of matrices and video recording technologies.
- Expertise in designing and implementing electronic security technologies.
Demonstrated proficiency in low-voltage wiring, including code compliance, conduit installation, troubleshooting, and access control hardware is necessary. Experience in maintaining Physical Security Systems, including Intrusion Detection Systems, Access Control, and Video Surveillance Systems is also required.
