Utilize your expertise in roofing estimation and project oversight with a well-established contractor specializing in both commercial and residential roofing and waterproofing solutions. In this essential position, the Estimator will engage with prospective clients, conduct on-site evaluations, collect necessary data, and formulate precise and comprehensive cost estimates. Serving as the primary liaison, the Estimator will manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficient delivery while adhering to budgetary limits, timelines, and the highest quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate and thorough cost estimates for construction initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial constraints and project requirements.
  • Examine project blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to ascertain the scope of work, necessary materials, and labor expenses.
  • Develop detailed and precise estimates utilizing estimation software.
  • Assess project risks and devise contingency strategies to minimize potential budget overruns or delays.
  • Negotiate and review contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Track project expenditures throughout the construction phase, identifying opportunities for cost efficiency and implementing relevant cost control strategies.
  • Provide continuous support to project managers and construction teams, addressing any estimating-related inquiries or challenges as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in estimating, specifically in roofing.
  • Proficient in estimation software such as Excel, Job Nimbus, and Xactimate.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
