Your Role:

As an Operations Supervisor, you will oversee service operations within our branch. This role necessitates managing safe productivity, conducting job site safety inspections, hiring, developing, and leading service teams to guarantee timely and cost-efficient service for our clients. You will ensure the safe operation of all service personnel while achieving acceptable profit margins within the branch.

In this position, effective leadership and communication are essential to foster team collaboration between Service and other divisions of Simon Roofing, as well as being directly accountable for enhancing the local sales volume of the branch. This is an active Operations Supervisor role that may require fieldwork as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all service personnel receive comprehensive training on Simon Safety Policies and Procedures, adhering to safety protocols daily and ensuring availability of necessary safety equipment.
  • Team Oversight: Provide essential supervision to all direct reports to deliver the expected service quality synonymous with Simon Roofing.
  • Client Satisfaction: Our business revolves around our clients and fulfilling or surpassing their expectations. You will be responsible for delivering our value proposition and ensuring overall customer satisfaction within the assigned branch.
  • Service Completion: Guarantee that all service requests are fulfilled promptly, with the highest quality standards and professionalism, including the completion and submission of all required service documentation.
  • Response Management: Ensure daily scheduling of crews to meet the response times dictated by customer service requests.
  • Employee Development: Oversee the training and growth of service employees within the branch, identifying training needs and facilitating access to necessary training.
  • Sales Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to bolster service sales within the branch.
  • Personal Growth: Engage in continuous improvement through reading and managerial training, guided by the Regional Manager.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the commercial roofing industry or related construction experience.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Office and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to perform calculations and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
  • A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record for company vehicle operation.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Willingness to travel when local work is unavailable.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays during emergencies.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the day.
  • Capability to frequently ascend and descend ladders up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Regularly work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions, both hot and cold.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment from various heights.
  • Lift heavy objects manually or with assistance and maintain a clean work area.
  • Shovel loose materials such as gravel, sand, or dirt.
