In this essential position, the Estimator will engage with prospective clients, conduct on-site evaluations, and compile comprehensive and precise cost estimates. As the primary liaison, the Estimator will cultivate robust client relationships and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficient execution while adhering to budgets, timelines, and the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction initiatives, ensuring alignment with budgetary limits and project requirements.
  • Examine project blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to ascertain the scope of work, necessary materials, and labor expenses.
  • Utilize estimation software to create thorough and precise estimates.
  • Assess project risks and formulate contingency strategies to mitigate potential cost overruns or delays.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
  • Oversee project expenditures throughout the construction phase, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and implementing effective cost control measures.
  • Provide continuous support to project managers and construction teams, addressing any estimation-related challenges as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in estimating, with a specific focus on roofing estimates.
  • Proficient in estimation software, including Excel, Job Nimbus, and Xactimate.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
