In this essential role, the Estimator will engage with prospective clients, conduct on-site evaluations, gather critical information, and produce precise and comprehensive cost estimates. As the primary liaison, the Estimator will cultivate strong client relationships and oversee projects from inception to completion, ensuring efficient execution while adhering to budgets, timelines, and the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for roofing projects, ensuring alignment with budgetary limits and project requirements.
  • Examine project blueprints, specifications, and technical documents to ascertain the scope of work, necessary materials, and labor expenses.
  • Utilize estimation software to create thorough and precise estimates.
  • Assess project risks and formulate contingency strategies to minimize potential cost overruns or delays.
  • Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Track project expenditures throughout the construction phase, identifying opportunities for cost savings and implementing effective cost control measures.
  • Provide continuous support to project managers and construction teams, addressing any estimating-related challenges as they arise.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in estimating, specifically in roofing.
  • Proficient in estimation software such as Excel, Job Nimbus, and Xactimate.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with robust organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
