JOB PURPOSE:


At H3X Technologies, we are pioneering the development of cutting-edge electric motors designed for sustainable applications across aviation, marine, industrial, and defense sectors.

Our motors, ranging from 30 kW to 30 MW, are engineered to be three times lighter than competing systems.

About the Role:

We are looking for an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to manage PCB assembly and wire harness production and procurement for our HPDM products.

This position entails the implementation of innovative processes and enhancements to accommodate the growing demand for HPDM products.

The role demands a high level of self-direction and accountability, granting substantial autonomy and direct oversight of the production of various components.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee new product introduction (NPI) for PCB and harness assemblies
Diagnose and resolve issues in electronics manufacturing
Document and address non-conformance issues, executing corrective measures
Supervise incoming inspections and uphold quality control
Ensure a seamless transition from development to mass production
Identify and apply continuous improvement strategies for yield, performance, and cost
Create manufacturing instructions and testing protocols for PCB and wire harnesses
Assess and guarantee the quality and reliability of contract manufacturers
Manage electronics inventory and coordinate production timelines
Collaborate with various departments to optimize processes and adhere to project deadlines
Assist design engineering with design for manufacturability (DFM) and prototype sourcing

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electronics Manufacturing or Design Engineer
Proficient in hand soldering through-hole (TH) and surface-mount device (SMD) components
Familiarity with PCB fabrication and assembly methodologies
Knowledge of quality standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-6012, etc.)
Ability to formulate test methods, inspection plans, and quality control protocols
Expertise in designing PCBA test fixtures
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Solid grasp of engineering principles
Results-oriented with a strong desire to learn quickly
High emotional intelligence for effective teamwork
Inherent curiosity and motivation driven by fundamental principles
Capability to access controlled unclassified information (CUI), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior experience in launching electronics manufacturing projects
Programming skills in C, C++, Python, or other scripting languages
Experience with automated optical inspection (AOI), X-ray, and flying probe testing
Background in PCB design
Knowledge of electronic component bill of materials (BOM) management and vendor list development
Familiarity with communication protocols (i2c, SPI, CAN, Ethernet)
Skills in design for manufacturability and design for test implementation
Experience with ISO9001 and/or AS9100 standards
Experience in PCB fabrication and assembly quoting and negotiation
Experience in a startup environment
Expertise in process failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
Understanding of power electronics and high voltage systems
Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) controls

$110,000-150,000/year USD
