JOB OBJECTIVE:
At H3X Technologies, we are pioneering cutting-edge electric propulsion systems to facilitate sustainable aviation. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team, focusing on the assembly of prototype electric drive systems and supporting testing procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical system assembly and hardware troubleshooting, playing a vital role in our core engineering team and influencing the company's growth trajectory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble production motor drive systems and their sub-components.
- Handle, mix, and work with process chemicals and hazardous materials safely.
- Assist in the maintenance and servicing of production processing equipment.
- Interpret and execute technical processes as outlined in internal work instructions and specifications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and design engineers to address assembly process challenges and implement improvements.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated intelligence, energy, and integrity.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical systems, including:
- Fastening techniques.
- Epoxy application.
- Component fabrication.
- Wiring harness production.
- Ability to comprehend and enhance manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in troubleshooting assembly-related issues.
- Capable of visualizing assembly processes from CAD models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively share knowledge and foster collaboration.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, particularly in the context of flight-critical systems.
- Open-minded and receptive to feedback, with a commitment to personal and product improvement.
- Strong emotional intelligence, enabling respectful and empathetic collaboration with colleagues.
- Inquisitive and driven by fundamental principles.
- This position requires access to controlled information.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in assembling aerospace components that meet flight qualifications.
- Familiarity with skills such as brazing, soldering, milling, turning, and epoxy encapsulation.
- Experience in PCB assembly and wiring harnessing.
- Background in developing innovative manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of GD&T standards (e.g., ASME Y14.5).
- Experience with AS9100 supply chain practices.
- Understanding of tool calibration processes.
- Possession of an associate or technical trade degree.
COMPENSATION: $22-34/hour USD
