Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance, design leadership, and foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with contract manufacturers to ensure seamless translation of product designs into production.
Experience, Skills and Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or directly related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on mechanical product design experience, with a proven track record of successful project leadership.
  • CAD and Engineering Tools: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks Preferred) and other relevant engineering tools.
  • Consumer Electronics Design: Experience in consumer electronics design, including industrial design, optics and lenses, cameras, sensors, displays, PCBs and flexes, sensors.
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing: Experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing, and detailed drawings a must.
  • Weight Reduction and Structural Optimization: Experience designing for weight reduction and structural optimization a plus.
  • Cutting-Edge Engineering Materials and Manufacturing: Experience using cutting-edge engineering materials and manufacturing processes in production products.
  • Engineering Fundamentals: Detailed knowledge of engineering fundamentals in solid mechanics, material science, heat transfer, and mechanism design.
  • Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, and Reliability: Knowledge of design for manufacturability, assembly, and reliability.
  • Security Clearance: Qualified candidates must have the ability to obtain a security clearance. This requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • Base Salary: From $140,000 to $170,000, depending on experience.
