About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our vibrant Manufacturing team at Jobot. This is a permanent position with an opportunity to influence the future of our product line and directly contribute to our success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop mechanical and electromechanical systems by studying customer requirements, researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials, and soliciting observations from operators.
  • Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods, testing finished-product and system capabilities, and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Provide engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, and requesting special services.
  • Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in Mechanical Design, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, 3D Modeling, and Engineering Drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of Product Development, Project Management, Machine Design, and Design for Manufacturing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, technology, and common practices in mechanical design.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and leadership to junior engineers and technicians.
  • A creative mind that is highly inquisitive and driven to develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
