Vaco is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to become an integral part of our client's team. The Cybersecurity Specialist will be tasked with a variety of security initiatives aimed at safeguarding data, systems, and applications. Key responsibilities will encompass threat identification, incident management, vulnerability assessment, and the establishment of security protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and uphold security measures (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, data encryption)
  • Review security logs and alerts, analyze incidents, investigate potential breaches, and propose remediation strategies
  • Create and sustain security policies and procedures
  • Conduct security evaluations and penetration testing
  • Engage in incident response protocols and disaster recovery planning
  • Document security processes and activities
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role
  • Strong grasp of security principles and concepts (access control, cryptography, network security, etc.)
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST cybersecurity, CIS controls)
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (Python, Bash)
  • Experience with Azure is preferred
