Position Overview:

The Senior Security Operations Automation Engineer at ShiftCode Analytics will play a pivotal role in enhancing the organization's cybersecurity framework. This position involves the design, development, and implementation of automated solutions aimed at bolstering security measures. The engineer will collaborate closely with the security operations team to pinpoint areas for enhancement and create automated processes that streamline operations and boost overall efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated solutions to strengthen the organization's security posture.
  • Evaluate current processes to identify opportunities for automation that enhance efficiency or mitigate risks.
  • Create scripts and tools for automating security operations tasks, including log analysis, incident response, and threat detection.
  • Monitor the performance of automated systems to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to automation tools and processes.
  • Work in conjunction with teams such as development and network engineering to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies to uncover new automation opportunities.
  • Produce documentation outlining automation processes and protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is essential.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies like AWS or Azure is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices is crucial.
