Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Chief Cybersecurity Officer will lead the formulation and implementation of our cybersecurity framework, safeguarding our digital assets, data integrity, and technological infrastructure. This position requires collaboration with senior management to ensure that cybersecurity efforts are in sync with corporate goals, managing a skilled team of cybersecurity experts, and proactively addressing emerging threats to uphold superior security and compliance standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Direction: Craft and execute a holistic cybersecurity framework that aligns with the organization's objectives. Provide expert advice on cybersecurity issues to senior management and board members.
  • Team Leadership: Direct, coach, and develop a team of cybersecurity specialists, promoting a culture of ongoing improvement and innovation.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify, evaluate, and mitigate cybersecurity threats and weaknesses. Ensure that effective risk management protocols are established and consistently reviewed.
  • Incident Management: Supervise the creation and implementation of incident management strategies. Lead the response to security breaches and ensure timely resolution and communication.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Guarantee adherence to applicable laws, standards, and best practices. Formulate and enforce cybersecurity regulations and procedures.
  • Technology Assessment: Review and deploy cybersecurity technologies and solutions. Keep updated on industry developments and new threats to continuously improve security measures.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Partner with various departments to weave cybersecurity considerations into all organizational functions. Establish and nurture relationships with external stakeholders, vendors, and industry associations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity field, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity. Demonstrated success in managing intricate cybersecurity operations and teams.
  • Technical Knowledge: Profound understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessment, threat detection, and incident management. Familiarity with a variety of security technologies and solutions.
  • Leadership Qualities: Outstanding leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Capability to guide cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the aptitude to navigate complex and sensitive scenarios effectively.
