Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure the precision of all financial statements and supporting documentation.
  2. Oversee the distribution of financial reporting packages on an annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.
  3. Guarantee the implementation and accuracy of established policies and procedures.
  4. Propose enhancements to align with best business practices regarding company standards.
  5. Facilitate the training and development of accounting personnel.
  6. Supervise the preparation of tax work papers and collaborate with the tax manager to provide essential data for tax processes.
  7. Authorize 1099 reports prior to the tax team’s review.
  8. Collaborate with the team to initiate ad hoc financial projects and reporting as required.
  9. Review and summarize all client agreements.
  10. Evaluate annual insurance renewals, ensuring adequate coverage and explaining risk assessments.
  11. Finalize budget creation and ensure timely monthly reporting to clients.
  12. Oversee estate planning, ensuring proper asset titling and the establishment of an estate plan.
  13. Review completed ad hoc projects and approve monthly commission reports.
  14. Establish financial and operational metrics to assess performance.
  15. Ensure the creation of budgets and forecasts, overseeing monthly budget-to-actual reporting.
  16. Confirm annual payroll reconciliations to the general ledger and compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
  17. Maintain a log of all filings and reported information, ensuring accountability for accuracy and timeliness.
  18. Actively participate as a member of the management team, contributing to the advancement of best accounting practices.
  19. Collaborate with the tax team on deliverables and provide necessary client documentation to meet tax deadlines.
  20. Engage in new client onboarding, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the scope of services to be provided.
  21. Provide training and education to the Business Management Team on policies and procedures.
  22. Proactively identify and communicate any issues or concerns to management.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to reliably commute and report to the office.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Taxation preferred.
  • 5-7+ years of diverse tax experience, including preparation, review, and signing, or a Master’s in Taxation, required.
  • 5-7+ years of accounting experience in the entertainment industry, family office, or providing financial services to high-net-worth individuals.
  • CPA or similar designation, required.
