Overview:
The primary role of an accountant is to evaluate financial data and generate financial statements to establish or uphold records of assets, liabilities, profits and losses, tax obligations, or other fiscal activities within an organization. A typical accountant is tasked with interpreting and conveying financial information to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine accounting records, financial statements, or other financial documents produced by staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting and procedural standards.
  • Evaluate and authorize budgets and periodic reports that juxtapose budgeted expenses with actual expenditures.
  • Develop recordkeeping and accounting frameworks.
  • Draft forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and oversee their work activities.
  • Assess operations to identify accounting requirements and propose and/or create solutions to business and financial challenges.
  • Consult with executives regarding matters such as resource allocation, tax strategies, and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
  • Analyze and scrutinize data to identify inadequate controls, redundant efforts, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
  • Evaluate and verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, employing accepted accounting and statistical methodologies to assess financial health and facilitate financial planning.
Required Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in working independently and managing one's time effectively.
  • Advanced ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles as necessary.
  • Expertise in analyzing business trends and forecasting future revenues and expenses.
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to accounting.
  • Prior experience with software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant accounting tools.
Education and Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related financial field is required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of financial and/or accounting experience is required.
Compensation:
The pay rate range provided is the base hourly compensation that Aditi Consulting anticipates offering for this position (actual compensation may vary outside of this range based on various factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location, and client requirements).
