The successful candidate will possess significant experience in financial oversight within a franchising or multi-unit operational setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting and Evaluation:
    • Oversee the creation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Guarantee the accuracy and reliability of financial documents, providing comprehensive analysis and explanations for discrepancies.
    • Develop and sustain financial dashboards and performance indicators.
    • Engage with executive leadership regularly to discuss financial outcomes.
  2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Generate and revise financial forecasts, assessing business trends and their potential effects on future performance.
  3. Compliance and Internal Controls:
    • Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls to ensure adherence to GAAP, company policies, and regulatory standards.
    • Conduct periodic audits and evaluations to identify and reduce financial risks.
  4. Cash Flow Management:
    • Oversee cash flow, banking relationships, and investment strategies to enhance the company’s financial standing.
    • Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
  5. Strategic Financial Planning:
    • Contribute to the formulation and execution of strategic initiatives, offering financial insights and recommendations.
    • Participate in long-term planning discussions with senior management to align financial objectives with business strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years in accounting or financial management, with at least 3 years in a senior capacity is preferred.
  • Experience in a franchising or multi-unit business context is highly advantageous.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced skills in Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated capability to lead and cultivate a high-performing finance team.
  • Strong integrity and professionalism.
Work Environment:
  • This is a hybrid role, primarily remote.
Some travel may be necessary for meetings or industry events.
