Position Overview

The Healthcare EDI Technical Manager plays a pivotal role within our healthcare clearinghouse operations, focusing on the effective execution of technical processes and the provision of superior software solutions. This role is essential in steering the technical vision of the organization, promoting innovation, and upholding our dedication to excellence in addressing the needs of payers and providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the adoption of Healthcare Clearinghouse methodologies, demonstrating expertise in X12 EDI transactions (837, 835, 270/271, 276/277), while ensuring adherence to CAQH standards.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of payer and provider specifications, including HIPAA regulations, data mapping, reporting, and diverse data formats (XML, JSON, CSV).
  • Direct and support the technical team throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle, ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Maintain and advocate for high software quality standards within the team by fostering best practices and a culture of continuous enhancement.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting skill development and a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, business analysts, and architects to design, develop, test, and sustain robust applications.
  • Oversee the documentation of user requirements, user stories, and project estimates.
  • Create detailed reports and manuals to convey the status, operation, and maintenance of software systems.
  • Engage in peer reviews of solution designs and code, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage the packaging and deployment of software releases, optimizing application integrations.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, utilizing diagnostic expertise to ensure application performance.
  • Commit to delivering solutions on time and within budget, aligning with the organization's high-quality development principles.
  • Provide advanced support to business users, addressing complex issues as a third-level support expert.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Management certification relevant to the role is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar leadership role, ideally within a healthcare clearinghouse setting.
  • Exceptional technical acumen, with a strong ability to diagnose and resolve software challenges.
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills, with a history of managing high-performing teams.
  • A proactive approach to fostering professional relationships with both staff and clients.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of inspiring teams and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
