Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Credit and Collections Specialist to join our team in Tampa, FL. This in-office role is essential for managing our customer credit processes and ensuring timely collections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and process customer credit applications, including the verification of trade references and necessary documentation.
  • Establish new customer accounts within the ERP system.
  • Manage collections by analyzing aging reports for assigned accounts and proactively contacting customers regarding payment statuses.
  • Monitor customer credit limits and payment trends.
  • Authorize daily customer orders based on established financial criteria and facilitate internal approvals as needed.
  • Process credit card transactions for customer payments.
  • Address and resolve customer billing and pricing discrepancies by collaborating with internal departments.
  • Issue credit memos for returned goods.
  • Provide professional phone support with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Complete additional reports and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and billing.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP is highly desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Capability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
