Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Coherent Corp. in East Granby, CT. As a key member of our Fiber Components Business Unit, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing process and working with state-of-the-art fiber assembly technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work according to standard operating procedures to ensure efficient production
  • Document the manufacturing process as required to maintain quality control
  • Inspect parts and assemblies under a microscope to ensure accuracy
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and calibration to prevent downtime
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete rework on assemblies as needed
  • Assist in the selection and setup of specialized test equipment to improve production efficiency
  • Collaborate with engineers to resolve technical problems and improve processes
  • Cross-train in other areas to expand skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field
  • Computer literacy, including data entry in Excel
  • Ability to see details at close range and excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Access to defense articles and related technical data subject to the International Traffic and Arms Regulations (ITAR)
