Position Overview:

As a Controls Technician, you will assist clients by programming temperature control systems according to project requirements. Leveraging your knowledge in the commercial HVAC sector, you will carry out installation, warranty, emergency, and maintenance services on existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to diagnose and resolve complex system issues, requiring expertise in various electronic or digital control systems.
  • Evaluate system software across multiple programming languages.
  • Communicate effectively with clients upon arrival and prior to departure from the job site, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand ongoing operational challenges.
  • Keep clients updated on the nature of services rendered and any unresolved issues.
  • Compile necessary job documentation, including CAD drawings, maintenance records, service tickets, and punch lists.
  • Engage in assigned training sessions and undertake self-directed learning to enhance technical skills related to the company's product offerings.
  • Achieve certifications and develop technical expertise as mandated by the organization.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in DDC/BAS control system startup, testing, and service.
  • Experience with units up to 20 tons.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems, control technologies, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, fire alarm systems, and construction protocols.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Reliable Controls, Delta, Carrier Comfort, Niagara Tridium, Trane, Honeywell, and Automated Logic.
