Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Development Technician to join our team at Bakery On Main. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of new products and ensuring the quality of our existing products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the product development team to design and develop new products, including recipes, formulations, and packaging.
  • Assist in the receipt, production, packaging, and shipping of sample orders and requests.
  • Maintain and organize development retains and recipe documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with allergen control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized lab area.
  • Participate in sensory evaluations and provide feedback on product taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Develop and maintain culinary skills, including baking, stove top preparation, and formula balancing.
  • Ensure adherence to Bakery On Main's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with a degree in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when necessary.
  • Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, with experience in nutritional databases a plus.
