We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Development Technician to join our team at Bakery On Main. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of new products and ensuring the quality of our existing products.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the product development team to design and develop new products, including recipes, formulations, and packaging.
- Assist in the receipt, production, packaging, and shipping of sample orders and requests.
- Maintain and organize development retains and recipe documentation.
- Ensure compliance with allergen control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized lab area.
- Participate in sensory evaluations and provide feedback on product taste, texture, and appearance.
- Develop and maintain culinary skills, including baking, stove top preparation, and formula balancing.
- Ensure adherence to Bakery On Main's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan.
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with a degree in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when necessary.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, with experience in nutritional databases a plus.
