MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and professional Retail Operations Leader to enhance our Bayless Store. Qualifications

A High School Diploma/GED is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. A minimum of three years in Retail, Warehouse, or Logistics Management, along with a valid MO or IL state driver's license and insurance, is necessary. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential, including customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Leadership capabilities must include sound decision-making, goal-setting, and problem-solving, with the ability to inspire and guide staff while holding them accountable. Proficiency with workplace technology such as registers, scheduling, and inventory management software is expected.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities
  • Manage store operations, resources, and budgets to ensure all objectives and benchmarks are achieved or surpassed.
  • Demonstrate core values to cultivate a culture that prioritizes safety, ethics, and quality within the store.
  • Oversee, guide, and train assigned personnel to ensure they fulfill their essential job functions.
  • Deliver outstanding internal and external customer service to promote repeat donations, shopping, and staff retention while effectively resolving customer dissatisfaction.
  • Mentor and advise employees regarding their job performance, including disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
  • Exercise independent judgment in delegating daily job responsibilities to meet operational goals.
  • Assist in identifying and recommending employees with proven performance for advancement opportunities.
  • Protect company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft, and report any incidents of theft, unethical behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to management, Human Resources, or Risk Management.
  • Adhere to and enforce all agency policies, procedures, and values.
  • Utilize effective staffing strategies to ensure appropriate store staffing levels. Arrange for replacements of absent employees as needed. Review, edit, and approve payroll.
  • Eliminate inefficiencies through process improvements.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with MERS Goodwill's dress code.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
