MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a dynamic, self-driven, and professional Retail Manager to oversee our retail operations. QualificationsA High School Diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in Retail, Warehouse, or Logistics Management is necessary, along with a valid driver's license and insurance from MO or IL. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, including customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Leadership abilities should encompass effective decision-making, goal-setting, and problem-solving, with a talent for motivating and guiding staff while holding them accountable. Proficiency with workplace technology such as registers, scheduling, and inventory management systems is expected.
Key Responsibilities- Manage store operations, resources, and budgets to ensure all objectives and performance metrics are achieved or surpassed.
- Exemplify core values to cultivate a culture committed to safety, ethics, and quality within the store.
- Oversee, guide, and train assigned personnel to ensure they fulfill their primary responsibilities effectively.
- Deliver exceptional internal and external customer service to promote repeat donations, customer loyalty, and staff retention while swiftly addressing customer grievances.
- Provide coaching and feedback to employees regarding their job performance, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Exercise independent judgment in assigning daily tasks to meet operational goals.
- Identify and recommend high-performing employees for advancement opportunities.
- Protect company assets and personal information from harm, damage, or theft, and report any incidents of theft, unethical behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to management.
- Adhere to and enforce all organizational policies, procedures, and values.
- Utilize effective staffing strategies to ensure appropriate store coverage and arrange for replacements as needed. Review, edit, and approve payroll.
- Implement process improvements to eliminate inefficiencies.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with MERS Goodwill's dress code.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Potential for monthly bonuses up to $1000.
- Quarterly bonus opportunities up to $1500.
