Position Overview

As a Store Operations Leader, you will be responsible for guiding your store team. This role demands a genuine passion for people, business acumen, and a strong sense of accountability. You will lead and inspire your MOD team to uphold the MOD experience while ensuring profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Your focus will be divided into two main areas. The first is "Leadership Development Time" where you will mentor your team, enhance your own skills, and strategize business plans while actively engaging with customers. The second is "On the Floor" where you will collaborate with your team to deliver exceptional service.
  • Manage daily store operations to drive optimal business results and enhance customer and team experiences
  • Provide leadership to the entire team, particularly the Store Coach and Shift Captains, as leading through others is essential for success
  • Identify areas for improvement in store performance, analyze results, and create action plans for success
  • Engage your team in problem-solving and achieving store goals
  • Collaborate with peers and leadership to secure necessary resources for success
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels through proactive recruitment and selection
  • Build and nurture community relationships
  • Utilize forecasts and labor models to effectively manage staffing and scheduling, executing training programs for new and existing team members
  • Ensure cleanliness and food safety standards are upheld within the store
  • Hold team members accountable for their performance while fostering a growth mindset for continuous development
  • Celebrate team achievements
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring supplies are ordered, received, processed, and labeled
  • Maintain accurate and secure cash management practices
  • Communicate effectively to keep the team informed of upcoming initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a General Manager in a restaurant setting
  • Demonstrated tenacity and pride in business ownership
  • Proven success in training, developing, and leading teams
  • Experience in inventory management within a food service context
  • Must obtain food safety and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of employment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree in Business or a related field may substitute for some required experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements

As a member of our team, you should be able to work in an open kitchen environment, transitioning between front and back of house. This includes walking, bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, carrying, pushing, and pulling, as well as handling or moving objects weighing up to fifty pounds. You must also be capable of operating hand-held appliances, sharp knives, and various kitchen equipment. Depending on the location, you may need to navigate stairs or use an elevator. Effective communication in English with team members and others is essential.

Working Conditions

High noise levels due to operations, customer interactions, and background music

Work may occur in indoor or outdoor settings, depending on the store, including curbside delivery to customers

Proximity to moving or mechanical parts

Flexible schedule including evenings, holidays, and extended hours as needed

Exposure to walk-in refrigerators and freezers
