About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team at the USTA. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading all HR functions at the National Tennis Center, including recruitment, employee relations, training, and policy development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Direct and oversee all recruitment processes for the NTC, ensuring timely filling of positions and effective management of seasonal and year-round staff.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a liaison between the USTA HR department and the NTC, communicating and administering personnel policies, employee guidelines, and training programs.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Oversee front-end entries and maintenance of payroll systems, including ADP ICIMS and other HR/Payroll systems.
  • Employee Engagement: Develop and maintain strategies to improve employee engagement, including holiday gatherings, team-building exercises, and other initiatives.
  • Financial Management: Manage seasonal payroll expenses, prepare year-end expense summaries, and provide financial reporting using ADP.
  • HRIS Systems: Maintain and update HRIS systems, including ICIMS and ADP, to ensure accurate and efficient management of employee data.
  • Training and Development: Direct and oversee the annual US Open seasonal employee training program and related staff uniform process.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for US Open seasonal hiring, including internal hiring plans and wage rate forecasts.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in HR or Business Management.
  • Experience: 6+ years of HR experience, with certification in SHRM and 5+ years of recruiting experience.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with strong managerial skills and experience leading successful recruitment teams.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced payroll experience, ICIMS, and ADP database experience, with proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
