Position Overview

The Senior Accounting Specialist at Brady Martz and Associates functions as a key outsourced accountant for various clients. This role involves managing daily accounting and financial operations while supervising the work of other accounting specialists within the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary outsourced accounting consultant, providing expert advice on financial issues.
  • Deliver comprehensive analysis of accounting data to support outsourced Controller or CFO roles.
  • Utilize sound judgment to prepare essential reports and documentation, including financial statements, tax returns, and sales tax reports.
  • Collaborate within a team to deliver high-quality accounting services to clients.
  • Manage the daily accounting functions for clients, effectively acting as their in-house accounting department.
  • Oversee and evaluate the work produced by other accounting specialists.
  • Conduct reconciliations of client bank statements.
  • Calculate month-end journal entries and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients regarding daily accounting inquiries.
  • Employ cloud-based technologies to facilitate real-time transaction accounting.
  • Support fellow outsourced accountants and their respective clients.
  • Coordinate activities to fulfill client requirements within designated timelines.
  • Utilize analytical skills to recommend enhancements to clients' accounting and financial operations.
  • Engage in business development initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and promote additional services offered by the firm.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business is required; a Bachelor's in Accounting is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience is essential.
  • Possession of a CPA or CMA license, or actively pursuing one.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Proficient technology skills are necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A collaborative team player.
  • Innovative thinking capabilities.
