Position Overview

The Senior Accounting Specialist at Brady Martz and Associates acts as a dedicated outsourced accountant for various clients. This role encompasses managing daily accounting and financial operations while supervising and evaluating the contributions of other Accounting Specialists within the firm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary outsourced accounting expert, providing guidance and support on financial issues.
  • Deliver analytical insights to outsourced Controllers or CFOs to enhance advisory services.
  • Employ sound judgment and analytical skills to generate reports and documents as required, including financial statements, tax documentation, and sales tax reports.
  • Collaborate within a team environment to deliver comprehensive accounting services to clients.
  • Manage the daily accounting functions for clients, effectively acting as their internal accounting department.
  • Oversee and assess the work performed by SBS Accounting Specialists.
  • Conduct reconciliations of client bank statements.
  • Calculate month-end journal entries and balance general ledger accounts to support or function as the SBS Controller.
  • Act as a primary contact for clients regarding their daily accounting inquiries.
  • Utilize cloud-based technology to ensure real-time transaction accounting.
  • Provide support to other outsourced accountants and their respective clients.
  • Coordinate activities to fulfill client requirements within designated timelines.
  • Apply analytical skills and sound judgment to recommend improvements in clients' accounting and financial operations.
  • Engage in business development initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client relationships and promote additional services offered by Brady Martz and Associates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business is required; a Bachelor's in Accounting is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping is essential.
  • Possession of a CPA or CMA license, or actively pursuing one.
  • Comprehensive understanding of GAAP principles.
  • Proficient technology skills are necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Capacity for innovative thinking.
