Position: Structural Engineer (Silent-Aire/PE)

Role Overview

As a Structural Engineer, you will utilize your extensive expertise in civil and structural engineering to independently plan and execute projects that require critical judgment in selecting and applying engineering methodologies, standards, and criteria. Your role will also involve innovating solutions to complex challenges, as well as preparing and modifying technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, calculations, and charts, while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and industry standards.

This position offers a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with production and safety teams to develop structural design solutions, including analysis of manufacturing tools and safety systems.
  • Conduct design evaluations, calculations, and validations for various manufacturing plant components.
  • Generate and validate structural analysis for HVAC systems and modular equipment.
  • Create and oversee structural drawings for manufacturing purposes.
  • Collaborate with external parties to secure approvals for structural designs as required.
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses on design options, justifying decisions related to structural component selection.
  • Adapt to various engineering and production projects as directed.
  • Inspect manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to structural design specifications.
  • Maintain plant certification standards.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Utilize and enhance structural engineering software for improved efficiency.
  • Provide leadership within a diverse engineering and manufacturing environment.
  • Stay informed about structural and safety regulations set by relevant organizations.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and/or structural engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is mandatory.
  • Ability to design efficient and constructible solutions as part of cost-reduction efforts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated with the capability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and technical learning.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.
  • Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with metal fabrication processes.
