Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled CSA Estimator to provide detailed Civil, Structural, and Architectural estimates and cost consulting services. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in meeting client objectives by delivering effective construction cost management services for our key clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and present comprehensive cost plans, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Conduct estimates at various stages, including conceptual, programming, and detailed levels.
- Assist in feasibility studies and prepare procurement reports.
- Manage all procurement aspects, including pre-qualification, bid list creation, bid analysis, and contract documentation.
- Engage in post-contract cost variance management and change control processes, escalating significant changes as necessary.
- Oversee cost checks and valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and precise reporting.
- Produce monthly post-contract cost reports for client presentation.
- Contribute to value engineering efforts and negotiate final accounts.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and consultants throughout all project phases.
- Provide leadership to the cost management team as needed, ensuring accountability in all deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for business development with existing clients and report findings to management.
- Suggest improvements for cost management procedures and templates.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical expertise in all areas of cost management, including pre-contract, post-contract, and final account processes.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other relevant software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction procurement methods.
- Experience advising clients on value management, value engineering, and life cycle costing.
- Background in business development within the industry.
- Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in preparing large-scale CSA cost estimates, with a focus on Civil, Structural, and Architectural estimating in relevant industries.
