Senior Vice President, Financial Consultant

This position is part of the employee branch, which is primarily responsible for providing wealth management and financial planning advice to Schwab's employees, executives, and Board of Directors to meet their financial needs.
Key Responsibilities- Comprehensive wealth management and financial planning on behalf of our employees, including retirement planning, education planning, investment management, estate planning, equity compensation, deferred compensation, active investing, banking, insurance, and lending needs.
- Provide guidance built upon the firm's philosophy, policies, and guidelines in meeting the needs of our executives and high net worth employees.
- Workplace Flexibility Program: Most employees have the opportunity to work in the office and/or at home based on their preference.
- Employees may have the flexibility for a hybrid schedule, where they divide their time between working remotely or in the office.
- Employees and managers can discuss additional flexibility options based on their role, business needs, and individual circumstances.
- 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.
- 5+ years of experience in providing financial advice in a customer-facing role.
- Exhibits independent and strategic thinking.
- Expert ability to manage a practice of clients, including segmentation and proactive outreach.
- Requires strong application of CFP Practice Standards and CWS principles, beyond having the designations.
- Expert ability to communicate with and engage employees and ultimately influence employee action with strong verbal and written presentation skills.
- Ensures the proper risk disciplines are in place to deliver the best outcomes for our employees.
- Ability to proactively recognize life-cycle events for employees and leverages this ability to consolidate and retain assets.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience.
- Professional designations highly preferred: CFP and/or CWS.
- Active and valid FINRA Series 7.
- Active and valid FINRA Series 66 (63/65).
- Active and valid insurance – Life and Health (may be obtained within 120 days of employment).
