Job Summary

Ashby Lumber is seeking a skilled Delivery Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of materials to customers and the pickup of materials from vendors and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate delivery and pickup activities to achieve optimum productivity and meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Ensure the safe transportation of company and customer goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service on all deliveries, maintaining a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Monitor and ensure vehicles are loaded properly and accurately, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with Dispatch and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
  • Report any issues or problems that arise during deliveries or pickups, taking prompt action to resolve them.
Requirements
  • A valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) based on state location.
  • Proper Class CDL with valid Air Brake and HazMat Endorsement (as required).
  • ABC and OSHA approved Powered Industrial Truck certification (company training provided).
  • A good driving record and current valid medical card (required in some states for non-CDL).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and upbeat attitude.
