Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Training Specialist to support our Engineering Services division. This role is crucial for the effective training of personnel in the operation and maintenance of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AC&R) Systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the operation, maintenance, and assessment of naval AC&R systems and related components.
- Evaluate training needs and design tailored instructional programs.
- Create and refine interactive, instructor-led technical courses.
- Develop comprehensive training documentation and instructional materials based on technical sources.
- Deliver engaging training sessions to diverse audiences.
- Assess training effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to enhance training content.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- A Bachelor's degree in training or a minimum of three years of military experience in curriculum development and instruction is required.
- At least three years of experience in managing training development for large-scale programs.
- Proficient understanding of AC&R theory, mechanical layouts, and HVAC controls.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be eligible for a DoD security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is required due to export control regulations.
Physical Requirements:
- Capability to lift and transport equipment weighing at least 30 lbs.
- Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and extreme temperatures.
