Position Overview

We are seeking a Reliability Engineer I to become a vital part of our Engineering Team. This role is essential in evaluating the reliability of components, systems, and processes while managing and mitigating asset reliability risks. The ideal candidate will bring fresh perspectives and innovative solutions to support our continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enforce reliability policies for all equipment and systems, ensuring that all maintenance routines are well-defined and that critical spare parts are readily available.
  • Utilize the CMMS to generate work orders, manage spare parts inventory, assign components, and track preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for plant equipment in collaboration with production scheduling.
  • Lead engineering root cause analyses and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence of issues, managing key performance indicators such as Run Hours and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
  • Assist in Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) investigations, troubleshooting issues in packaging and identifying causes of non-conformance.
  • Provide technical guidance to plant personnel on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and assessing equipment reliability and design enhancements.
  • Aim for zero overdue compliance actions regarding quality and documentation updates, engaging with leadership and subject matter experts across the organization.
  • Collaborate on the development and execution of operational reliability programs and projects, including upgrades, retrofits, and maintenance procedures.
  • Research and recommend best practices in maintenance and reliability based on established industry standards.
  • Participate in audits as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • This role may involve overtime and weekend work as necessary, adhering to all PCI policies and procedures.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an engineering or maintenance support capacity.
  • Hands-on mechanical and inspection experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a Lean and/or Six Sigma environment.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and practices.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, are essential.
  • Full professional proficiency in written and spoken communication.
  • Exceptional reasoning abilities to analyze problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
