As an Audio Visual Service Specialist, you will be integral to ongoing training and development initiatives, consistently encountering new challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve applications in the field utilizing industry-standard programming languages, including Crestron, Extron, QSC, and others.
  • Effectively adjust graphical user interfaces as instructed during field operations.
  • Assess current systems and provide precise information for Software Developers to produce functional code.
  • Methodically troubleshoot, identify potential failure sources, and rigorously test all failure points.
  • Diligently complete all necessary documentation and forms throughout the service and troubleshooting process.
  • Configure installed devices to achieve optimal performance settings.
  • Load and set up Control & DSP codes.
  • Conduct tests and simulate failures onsite to ensure reliable performance.
  • Communicate proficiently with Software Developers, Lead Installers, Installation Manager, Service Manager, and Systems and Design Engineering teams regarding system-related inquiries and issues.
  • Initiate service tickets with manufacturers and collaborate with them during onsite troubleshooting.
  • Create Local Area Networks (LANs) for device communication, distinct from the client's existing network framework.
  • Establish WLANs for wireless device connectivity.
  • Maintain professional interactions with client IT personnel regarding specific system requirements and potential challenges.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Preferred certifications in Poly, Q-SYS, Crestron, and/or Biamp software.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in interpreting and understanding audiovisual engineering schematics.
  • Previous experience in reading, comprehending, and explaining CAD functional, riser, and architectural diagrams.
  • Self-driven individual who thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments.
  • Strong documentation capabilities and acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret and communicate a comprehensive understanding of system specifications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a commendable driving record.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel overnight for approximately 10 to 15% of the work year, with distribution among the installation team based on workload and skillsets.
