Assist in delivering educational support to students under the guidance of a certified educator. Aid in the preparation, execution, and organization of classroom activities.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
• 48+ Earned College Credits, Associate's degree, Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree from a U.S Department of Education recognized accredited institution (Preferred)
• OR High School Diploma, contingent upon passing the formal academic assessment as mandated by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Proficient in assisting with reading, writing, and mathematics instruction
• Strong ability to engage effectively with children
• Excellent communication skills
Experience:
Some prior experience working with children
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Assistance
1. Deliver educational support to students under the supervision of the teacher; work with individual students or small groups.
2. Aid the teacher in preparing educational materials and classroom presentations.
3. Assist with the administration and evaluation of objective assessments or assignments.
4. Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
5. Support the inventory, care, and maintenance of educational equipment.
6. Assist the teacher in maintaining administrative records and preparing necessary reports.
7. Provide orientation and support to substitute educators.
Student Oversight
8. Assist in supervising students throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom, including lunchroom, bus, and playground duties.
9. Inform the teacher of any special needs or concerns regarding individual students.
Additional Responsibilities:
10. Engage in professional development training programs to enhance job performance.
11. Participate in faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
Other Duties:
12. Undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Compensation: Salary will be based on the candidate's experience and educational background.
No Degree/ HS Diploma: $17,340- $20,400
48+ College Credits/Associate's Degree: $18,870-$21,930
Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree: $20,910-$23,970
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None.
