We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at KW Property Management, LLC. As a key member of our culinary operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality food products in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Food Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the quality of food preparation, presentation, and cleanliness of production and service areas.
- Training and Development: Assist in training kitchen and production employees, including identifying training needs and designing programs to address deficiencies.
- Menu Planning: Develop recipes and portion specifications in accordance with consumer tastes, nutritional needs, product specifications, and budgetary constraints.
- Operational Support: Assist operation managers with tasks such as plate presentation, special function menu planning, and designing new service areas.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare operational reports and analyses to identify progress and adverse trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Experience: Four years of progressive experience in high-volume food production or catering, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
The work environment can be loud and busy, with potential hazards such as hot surfaces and liquids, sharp knives, and slippery floors.
Physical DemandsThe employee is required to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and stoop, with the ability to use arms, hands, and manipulate fingers to reach, stir, measure, pour, cut, chop, dice, and decorate.
Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position manages all line-level employees of the department.
