Key Responsibilities:
The Academic Program Supervisor provides on-site leadership for larger Newport Healthcare programs and campuses.

This role reports to the Education Manager (Regional) and acts as a bridge between the operational and programming teams and the academic staff.

The Academic Program Supervisor oversees academic personnel, assists with problem resolution, ensures compliance with the daily schedule, and facilitates communication between academic leadership and the site.


Core Duties:


Oversee academic staff, classroom requirements, scheduling, pod assignments, adherence to educational standards, and the implementation of new programs or schedule modifications.


Supervise staff, including teachers and tutors, which involves managing employee concerns, conducting 90-day and annual evaluations, and administering disciplinary actions.

Facilitate team meetings and participate in bi-weekly leadership discussions.

Monitor weekly progress reports for clients, oversee Friday afternoon classroom activities, and assist with summer programming.


Participate in the recruitment process for open positions, contribute to New Hire Orientation by providing classroom training, and collaborate with staff to support new teacher and tutor onboarding.

Address technology-related issues such as internet access and website management.

Serve as Site Administrator to manage enrollments and conduct system audits for assigned locations.


Coordinate with discharge planning and medical records to ensure proper school correspondence is prepared, including medical leave of absence letters and return-to-school approvals.


Act as a liaison between site directors, programming staff, and academic personnel by disseminating information regarding schedule changes, discharges, and client-related issues or concerns.


Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree is required.

A minimum of five (5) years of teaching, instructional, or educational experience is required.

A Master's degree is preferred.

A teaching license is preferred.
