Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled CSA Management Specialist to join our team at the City of Hopewell, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of treatment services provided to youth and families funded through the Children's Services Act (CSA).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site-based and file utilization reviews to ensure compliance with CSA regulations and policies.
  • Screen FAPT referrals for required information, eligibility criteria, and timeliness.
  • Monitor implementation of service plans and results for ongoing cases to determine suitability of services.
  • Communicate with the Family Assessment and Planning Team (FAPT) and the Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT) members, service providers, case managers, and family members.
  • Interpret and apply state and local regulations, policies, and procedures related to the Children's Services Act.
  • Provide information to help case managers in selecting service providers.
  • Review the impact of utilization management policies and procedures of the CSA process, services provided, and costs incurred; make recommendations for changes.
  • Maintain familiarity with available resources, their strengths, weaknesses, and criteria for services provision to assist case managers in making appropriate referrals.
  • Respond to incoming calls and assist with agency disaster response activities.
  • Assist the CSA Manager of Children's Services in duties related to CPMT and FAPT.
  • Perform related work as required.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a related field, supplemented by four (4) years of progressively responsible human/social services experience; or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving history.
