We are looking for a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Specialist PRN to join our team, ensuring we deliver high-quality, efficient care to all patients. If you share our commitment to meaningful patient care, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accurately documents patient information and performs non-clinical tasks to facilitate procedure completion.

2. Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for scintigraphy, bioassay, and therapeutic procedures, disposing of radioactive waste in accordance with departmental protocols and Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines.

3. Conducts imaging and therapeutic procedures in compliance with established standards.

4. Engages in non-clinical activities related to equipment upkeep and adheres to NRC regulations for Quality Control and radiation monitoring.

5. Operates electronic information systems and Unit Dose Manager efficiently.

6. Maintains an organized and clean workspace with adequate supplies.

7. Participates in continuing education to enhance knowledge in Nuclear Medicine.

8. Contributes to departmental quality assurance and performance improvement projects as needed.

9. Provides care in a professional and courteous manner.

10. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiological Technology or Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Nuclear Medicine, which may include formal training.
