Compensation Overview:

The annual base salary range for this position reflects a nationwide market range and encompasses a broad spectrum of salaries for this role across the country.

The actual salary will be influenced by various factors, including the complexity and location of the role, as well as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.

As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

The Enterprise Monitoring Customer Success team within Enterprise Technology Solutions (ETS) at Travelers is seeking a seasoned technology engineer to collaborate with a team of skilled engineers as we advance our Observability modernization efforts. The team is dedicated to managing customer work queues and providing exceptional consultation to our business clients.

We embrace a team-oriented approach in all our endeavors, from design to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in observability for all related activities.
  • Provide engineering and administrative support for our tenants, including provisioning monitors and troubleshooting toolset-related issues.
  • Consult and collaborate with other development teams to facilitate application changes supporting our modernization initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to established quality control and security protocols.
  • Participate in a regular on-call support rotation.
  • Deliver timely and accurate updates to management regarding the status and performance of assigned tasks.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships across Travelers' technical and business communities.
  • Engage with customers to achieve efficient and effective outcomes.
  • Prioritize tasks according to business needs and production availability.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with observability tools and their provisioning.
  • Preferred experience with tools such as Elasticsearch (ELK) or Datadog.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present monitoring solutions effectively.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure technologies, including Cloud, Network, Database, Server, and Storage.

What is Required?

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least three years of experience in Technology.
