About the Position:


Our team is seeking a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our FARAPULSE Capital Equipment division.

The Lead Manufacturing Engineer will spearhead continuous improvement projects, mentor fellow engineers, apply advanced problem-solving techniques, and offer daily assistance to the production team to ensure that products, processes, materials, and equipment align with our business objectives regarding Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost.

This role involves regular collaboration with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Process Development, Supply Chain, etc.) to assess, troubleshoot, and implement manufacturing processes within the unit.


Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional project teams: Organize, manage, communicate, and document project objectives and progress.
  • Assist technicians during troubleshooting when complex technical challenges arise on the production floor.
  • Identify, analyze, and propose enhancements to processes and products utilizing continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Evaluate the feasibility of new technologies, products, and equipment.
  • Design and oversee relevant engineering tests and experiments.
  • Summarize, analyze, and derive conclusions from intricate test results.
  • Prepare engineering reports and communicate findings to both technical and leadership audiences.
  • Manage Capital Equipment Request Authorizations (CERA's) to drive equipment strategy within the unit.
  • Train team members, including engineers, technicians, and product builders on specific tasks. Contribute to the development of junior staff by providing guidance on engineering best practices and offering technical advice.

In all actions, maintain a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by adhering to the Quality Policy and all other established quality processes and procedures.


Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience (an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience may be considered).
  • Experience in a regulated industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems.
  • Experience managing and leading multiple projects concurrently.
  • Practical knowledge of manufacturing problem-solving and process improvement tools such as DMAIC and LEAN manufacturing.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the medical device industry.
  • Experience in complex process validation or equipment qualification activities (testing, documentation, training, statistical analysis, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Capital Equipment assembly and electrical testing processes.
