POSITION SUMMARY

The City of Fresno is in search of dedicated and motivated professionals to fulfill the role of Senior Management Analyst. This position is pivotal in our mission to enhance the community's quality of life.

Under general oversight, Senior Management Analysts engage in a range of advanced research, administrative, and analytical tasks. They may also provide leadership or supervision to designated personnel, assisting in the management of operational and human resource functions within various divisions or departments.

Responsibilities include overseeing business management operations, which encompass personnel management, organizational assessment and development, budget formulation and coordination, as well as the establishment and monitoring of operational policies and procedures. Additionally, this role involves supervising subordinate clerical, technical, and professional staff.

This is an unclassified role, with the incumbent serving at the discretion of the Department Director. Current openings are available in several departments, and applications may be considered for future vacancies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must fulfill the minimum qualifications by the specified deadline:

  • Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public administration, or a closely related field;
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in personnel, management, or administrative roles, or two years of experience equivalent to that of a Management Analyst II.

Additional relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two years. A valid California Driver's License is required at the time of appointment.

Selected candidates must provide proof of a valid driver's license and a current driving record, and successfully complete a Department of Justice fingerprinting process.

  • Health Insurance: Contributions towards monthly premiums for PPO medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their dependents.

  • Supplemental Sick Leave: 40 hours per fiscal year, with a lifetime maximum of 80 hours.
  • Management Leave: 60 hours per fiscal year.
  • Bilingual Premium: $100 per month.
  • Annual Leave: Accrual of 15.55 hours per month with cash-out provisions.
  • Holidays: Ten (10) City-observed holidays, plus a birthday and two (2) personal days.
  • Life Insurance: Benefit equal to annual salary, with premiums covered by the City.
  • Long-Term Disability: Coverage equal to 66.66% of monthly salary after 30 days of disability.
  • Health Reimbursement Arrangement: For retirement medical insurance and qualified medical expenses.
  • Retirement: Participation in the City of Fresno Retirement Systems, with reciprocity with other California public agencies.
